During the generation of PS2, Game cube and Xbox we saw what for many are the best license games in history. Titles like the Simpsons Hit & Run and Spider-man 2 always appear in the list of games that deserve a remake. Now, with the the rings of power fever, the public has begun a petition for Ea to bring back to the Lord of the Rings: The Towers and the return of the king .
These two EA games were an adaptation of films of the same name. Here we are presented with an action RPG that gives us the opportunity to revive the most iconic events and battles of the adaptation of Peter Jackson. In this way, Two particular users have started a couple of campaigns at Chage.org to create remastering of these titles.
To begin, we have the request of Tchibo V, where it is pointed out that EA should remaster the Two Towers and the return of the king, something that more than three thousand people support. However, it is Bishop who has followed more people. This user not only wants to see the work of The Lord of the Rings, but also that of the classic Harry Potter . This is what he says:
In the early 2000s, Electronic Arts made agreements with AOL Time Warner (now WarnerMedia) to create and publish video games based on the franchises of harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings.
However, the LOTR and Harry Potter games that were made under EA cannot be published because the licenses expired years ago. Therefore, if Warner Bros could reach a possible license renewal agreement with EA so that the latter can publish their old Harry Potter and LOTR games, it would mean a lot for Warding World and Middleware fans.
Bishop’s words have managed to resonate in almost 15 thousand people , being just a few tens of fulfilling their goal. However, these requests are not a guarantee that their demands come true, and surely this will not happen. The problem with license games is that multiple companies have the necessary rights to do projects like these a reality, so this becomes a legal nightmare, and large companies, such as EA, simply prefer not to bother.
In related issues, the rings of power suffers from review bombing. Similarly, the content of The Lord of the Rings disappears from multiverses.
Editor note :
I join the request to see these games once again in our hands. However, this will not happen. The license problems involving remastering these games are surely worth the copies they could sell. Fortunately, getting these titles today is not so expensive.
